Ohio Airships, Inc. (1999, Mantua,
Ohio ‘C’ Corporation) is a company focused on the development and
production of the revolutionary Dynalifter aircraft. The
Dynalifter is a heavier-than-air aircraft which generates lift
from a combination of lifting body, wings, canards, and
non-flammable, helium gas. This unique combination allows for
unprecedented volumes of cargo to be moved between “unimproved”
landing sites. Dynalifter “Roadless Trucking” will fill a major
gap in the transportation systems of many underdeveloped nations.

Over the past eight years, Ohio
Airships has produced a technical and business foundation to
prepare the company for Dynalifter production and sales. The
technical foundation includes patents, numerous design and
feasibility studies, and a manned prototype. The business
foundation includes bringing capital, customers, and qualified
subcontractors together with a common goal of Dynalifter
production. By relying heavily on subcontractors, Ohio Airships
has been able to quickly acquire the specialized skills necessary
to produce feasible aircraft designs and begin the process of
converting serious, potential Dynalifter customers.
The Company’s next step is to bring
its Dynalifter prototype to practical flight. Construction of this
120ft, 2-seat prototype began in 2003. It has since been
completed, has received an FAA Experimental Airworthiness
Certificate, and has undergone 11 operational tests. The Company
feels that a key for future sales of Dynalifter aircraft is
bringing this prototype to practical flight. In order to bring the
aircraft to practical flight, the company intends to make simple
modifications to the aircraft.
Concurrently, the company is
subcontracting two independent sales firms; one for US Military
applications, and one for global, commercial applications.
Agilecast, Inc. is a company whose core competency is to sell
developing technologies to the Department of Defense, and whose
primary customer is Boeing’s Advanced Design group. Agilecast has
recently generated interest at the Pentagon for the Dynalifter
(i.e. Joint Force Command, J9, NATO, Air Force Strategic Lift, and
the individual military services).
A British sales firm has been contracted
by Ohio Airships to obtain orders for commercial Dynalifter
aircraft. Using their existing connections, this company has
received preliminary interest in over 600 Dynalifter variants in
Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Also, they have ranked these
potential customers according to their level of interest, and has
identified five customers who are most likely to place the first
orders. These initial orders would total $4.09B in aircraft sales
alone (excluding service contracts, parts, etc.).
In order to handle mass-production
of Dynalifter aircraft, Ohio Airships intends to subcontract
production to existing, capable production companies. In other
words, Ohio Airships does not intend to “reinvent the wheel, but
rather use companies who already have the production systems and
labor in place. Should the Company receive near-term, active
orders, several defense contractors (including major airframe
companies) have shown interest in assisting with aircraft
production.
Thus, in this next phase of
development, Ohio Airships plans to:
- Bring the prototype to
practical flight
- Finalize the initial
sales orders
